How did you go about organizing the shots?
I storyboard everything; it helps me think. I’m still one of those primitives who can really draw. And I draw the whole film before I get there. And everything I need is drawn. When I’m drawing, I allow for passage of time or real time or cuts. So by the time I start the movie, I’ve filmed it on paper.
